Earrings are a very exciting topic. This type of jewellery is worn close to one’s face, complementing the shape of the face, hair and ears. It may not merely hang but can curve upwards into an organic shape. When worn with a pendant, earrings create a triangle that directs attention to the wearer’s face.

In many cases, designers enjoy playing with the difference between symmetry and asymmetry in a way that different design tricks can be utilized within a pair of earrings.
When designing earrings, we have to keep in mind the  characteristics of the wearer, her colors, hairstyle and the shape of her face. A tastefully designed pair of earrings, whether extravagant or modest, can reflect the wearer’s point of view, style or can entirely change or enhance her facial features and appearance.

Anatomical differences in the earlobes or asymmetrical holes can sometimes cause difficulties. As we mature the skin tissues on our the earlobes begin to loose their elasticity, so issues regarding suspension and the covering of the pierced area have to be taken into account as well as a number of other matters. In many cases we take a photo of the client’s ear which enables us to design custom-made earrings which truly fit perfectly.
